wait_error_reset

Runs in the client Sends nothing to the robot

Wait until the robot reports no error and no warning. It waits until the robot's status lists nothing but the warning NOT_HOMED, and sends no command. An error stays until clear_errors(), or the dashboard's Clear Errors button, clears it; a fault that is still present latches again. A warning lasts as long as its condition. It returns at once when nothing is listed.

Unlike clear_errors(wait=True), which ignores warnings, it also waits for every other warning to end.

Syntax

robot.wait_error_reset(timeout=10.0)

Arguments

Name Type Default Description
timeout float | None 10.0 Seconds to wait at most. None waits as long as it takes.

Returns

Nothing.

Examples

robot.clear_errors()
robot.wait_error_reset()
robot.enable(wait=True)

Further details

Note

NOT_HOMED, listed while the arm is not homed, does not count: it describes a state, not a fault. To wait for the errors alone, use clear_errors(wait=True).

Exceptions

  • RobotTimeout: An error or a warning was still listed after timeout.
  • RobotConnectionError: The client is not connected, or lost its connection while waiting.
