local_label

Runs in the client Sends nothing to the robot

Return this connection's address as the robot names it. The robot names each client connection by its address and port, "ip:port", and reports the holder of control that way. Compare the two to see whether this connection holds control, as holds_control() does. It reads the client's own connection and asks the robot nothing. Behind a router that translates addresses (NAT), the robot sees another address and the two never match.

Syntax

robot.local_label()

Arguments

None.

Returns

str | None

This connection's "ip:port", for example "192.168.0.20:51234"; None before connect() and after disconnect().

Examples

robot.take_control()
robot.control_holder() == robot.local_label()
