# 7. Maintenance

PAROL6 needs little: belts that stay tight, set screws that stay put, switches that trigger. Check them at the
intervals below and after any collision.

| Interval | What |
|---|---|
| Before each session | The E-stop works (press it with the robot enabled); nothing in the workspace; the cables and tubes free |
| Monthly, or every 50 hours | [Inspection](https://docs.source-robotics.com/PAROL-docs/1.1/07-maintenance/inspection/): belts, couplers, switches, fan, printed parts |
| After a collision, a fall or a lost step | Inspection, then [Checking the homing](https://docs.source-robotics.com/PAROL-docs/1.1/07-maintenance/homing-check/) |
| When a belt slips or a joint is loose | [Belts](https://docs.source-robotics.com/PAROL-docs/1.1/07-maintenance/belts/), [Couplers and threadlocker](https://docs.source-robotics.com/PAROL-docs/1.1/07-maintenance/couplers/) |

Before any work inside the base, unplug the supply and touch earthed metal: static electricity damages the
control board and its drivers.
