# 2. Safety

PAROL6 is a desktop robot, light enough to lift with one hand, and it can still hurt you: it pinches, it moves
fast, it moves by itself when it homes, and it falls when it loses power. This chapter is short. Read all of it
before the first power-on, and have everyone who works at the robot read it.

The project's [Safety Warning and Disclaimer](https://github.com/Source-Robotics/PAROL6-Desktop-robot-arm/blob/main/SAFETY_WARNING_AND_DISCLAIMER.md)
applies to everything on this site: the hardware, the firmware, the software and this documentation are
under development, and you build, modify and operate the robot at your own risk.
